Groundworks to Start

Steel Life Group UK has the green light to start groundworks and is now moving ahead with construction plans for this exciting, creatively designed container village – The Foundry on the former Chalon Way Car Park.

The appointment of ground workers will see the site being prepared for the delivery of Phase One bespoke upcycled containers.

Phase One will see just over 20 bespoke restored container units ready for businesses offering opportunities for everything from shops, eateries, bars, workspaces, community projects or something unique.

The Foundry project plans to regenerate the historic Daglish Foundry offering a unique Canalside development.

The Foundry management team plan to provide opportunities for local businesses and trades to support the project throughout the development process. A local design and PR firm are already engaged .

Chris Lewis, The Foundry Lead Director, said: “Our own project management team has expanded to meet the level of enquiries we are receiving from all sizes of local businesses wanting to bid for projects. The launch of our tenant information packs is all in preparation for our construction programme scheduled to coincide with our works starting on site.”

The Foundry investors Steel Life Group are now inviting local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community enterprise groups to take a look at the possibilities at the new venue. In this reimagined hotspot the plan is to offer stunning street food, creative workspace, art, culture, and things to do with friends.

Steel Life will be announcing The Foundry launch date shortly. In the meantime, the search begins for new businesses and established business owners looking for expansion, bringing this long-awaited scheme to reality.
